South Lanier Bassmasters was formed in 1996 to improve the bass angling skills of its members through the exchange of techniques and ideas, to foster sportsmanship, to contribute to the conservation of natural resources, and to embrace the principles of the FLW. 

Since that time the club roster has changed but the core ideals that were presented by the founding members continues to thrive.  From the monthly club meetings and tournaments to the community service projects and Children's Rodeo, South Lanier Bassmasters is an organization that provides a variety of opportunities for it's members to be involved in the sport of bass fishing.
